Black History Vocab:

Civil Rights - the rights of citizens to political and social freedom and equality.
Heritage - property that is or may be inherited; an inheritance;a special or individual possession; an allotted portion. 
Abolitionist -a person who favors the abolition of a practice or institution, especially capital punishment or (formerly) slavery.
Advocate - (noun) a person who publicly supports or recommends a particular cause or policy.
(verb) publicly recommend or support.
Equality - the state of being equal, especially in status, rights, and opportunities.
Prejudice - preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or actual experience.
Segregation - the action or state of setting someone or something apart from other people or things or being set apart.
Boycott - a punitive ban that forbids relations with certain groups, cooperation with a policy, or the handling of goods.
Justice - just behavior or treatment.
Demonstration - a public meeting or march protesting against something or expressing views on a political issue.
